It has been revealed that the president, Muhammadu Buhari, have had a closed door meeting with the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, on Tuesday, in the Presidetial Villa Abuja.
Reliably, the meeting was said to most probably be in connection with the rejection of the Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu.
Meanwhile, the meeting which was said to have last for just 30 minutes was also held shortly after a meeting of such nature between President Buhari and Ali Ndume, the Senate majority leader.
However, the president has been enjoined to re-submit Magu’s name to the senate by Prof Itse Sagay, the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption.
Meanwhile, according to Sagay, the allegations against the EFCC boss as weak and unverified.
Notwithstanding, the rejection of Magu, was based on an allegation leveled against him by the Department Of State Service (DSS), presented to the senate.
