According to report by correspondent, the governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai, was attached on his way to Jema’a local government area of the same Kaduna State by angry youths of the Northern part of the State.
Report also has it that they threw stones at his convoy in their angry state and this was said to have happened on Tuesday, the 21st of December, 2016.
However, Gov El-Rufai in company of his deputy, Barnabas Bantex were said to have been in the convoy as at when the attack took place.
Furthermore, it was reported that tension has risen high in Kafanchan after a 24-hour curfew imposed by local government authorities.
It was also said that the angry youths were protesting the continuous killings allegedly masterminded by Fulani herdsmen in the state to which to governor had claimed pay off some time past.
Speaking at the palace of Muhammadu Muhammadu, emir of Jema’a; the governor said: “I and the deputy governor took oath of office to protect lives and property of all citizens and we are committed to ensuring that this is achieved.”
Gov. El-Rufai pleaded with the youth not to take laws into their hands in the event of any crisis while calling on leaders in the Southern region of the state.
