According to report, an 8 years old girl who is said to be allegedly involve in an act considered as lesbianism, has been arrested in Uganda police men.
Her arrest was ordered following the report of her neighbor to the police of her involvement with other girls romantically.
Her arrest was however, confirmed to Gay Star News by an officer at Jinja Police Child Family Protection Unit, Catherine Wobuyaga.
She had deceived other girls around to a nearby farm and the performs numerous sex acts with her fingers the neighbor claimed.
However, Amnesty International’s East Africa Campaigner, Victor Odero, to the police: “The girl should be immediately and unconditionally released if she is still in detention.”
‘What she needs is protection and respect for her privacy, rather than being treated as a criminal. The state’s responsibility here is to protect the child’s welfare, not to arrest her.’
