The Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, Ogbonnaya Onu, According to report, is been assigned for arrest as court grants request.
Justice Ahmed Mohammed, have been said to have granted the mandamus order, which was requested by the Human Rights Foundation International, after a petition which have been said to have been tendered before Mahmud Mohammed, the Ex-Chief Judge, by Justices Inyang Okoro and Sylvester N. Ngwuta.
However, the request of the applicant as to sack the minister for Transportation, as well as Ogbonnaya Onu, was granted.
The order of the court was obligatory to the Department of State Service, (DSS) as well as the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, (EFCC) to carry out their responsibilities to the people by arresting and prosecuting the two ministers immediately without delay.
Based on the copy of the petition against the ministers, on 1st December, 2016, it was demanded that both of them should be disengage until proved clear by a court of credibility.
Meanwhile, the litigant, further more demanded an order of mandamus, which have been declared requested in review of the Administrative Action/Inaction Procedure,to seek and obtain the leave of the court first through an ex-parte applicaton to begin to suit properly, the matter have however, been dated for mention on the 15th of December, 2016.
