A twin bomb blast has been reported to have taken place in Madagali Market Adamawa State, killing 30 people as confirmed by Maj. Badare Akintoye, the Public Relations Officer of 28 Task Force Brigade, Nigerian Army, Mubi,
Akintoye, in a phone call told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the blasts were caused by two female teenage suicide bombers.
He disclosed that so many other persons were injured and are currently receiving treatment in general hospitals at Mubi and Michika.
Mr Sani Datt, the NEMA Head of Media and Public Relations, in a Statement on the incident, though did not give the numbers of death, revealed that 67 persons were injured.
The act has however, been condemned by Adamawa Government, through the state Commissioner for Information, Mallam Ahmad Sajoh.
The Gov. Muhammadu Bindow, however, given orders through Sajoh, to all relevant agencies telling them mobilize and render support to all the affected persons.
As he disclosed that 4 out of the injure 67 persons have been reported dead, added that the government will take full resposibilities of all medical bills of all those affected.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) the Madagali blast was coming nearly a year after a similar blast in the market which occurred on Dec. 20 2015.
