According to a statement by former Jigawa State, governor, Sule Lamido, most of the current members of the All Progressive Congress, APC, were in the People Democratic Party, PDP, during its time in power.
Nigerians have been warned not to expect much from the present government of the APC, by the former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji, Dr, Sule Lamido.
Making mockery of the Buhari’s war against corruption, he said: “How can President Buhari say he is fighting corruption when he is surrounded by people of questionable characters, a group of people who were part of the government he is criticizing.”
Adding that “Democracy should be able to address our problems, unite us and not to put fear in the land, compelling people to be pretending to be what they are not because they don’t want to be imprisoned.”
Mentioning also that corruption is not the only problem facing Nigeria as a country.
According to reports, the former governor Lamido, along with his two sons Mustapha and Aminu, was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, on account of money laundering charges.
The names of the former Vice prsident, Atiku Abubakar and the Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, were mentioned as the biggest enemies of President Muhammadu Buhari, by Former Governor, Alhaji, Dr, Sule Lamido.
However, Alhaji, Mustapha Lamido, who is the son to Alhaji, Dr, Sule Lamido was suspended as the District Head of Bamaina in Birninkudu Local Government in Jigawa state.
