A young man by the name of Emmanuel Monday, have been said to have been arrested and arraigned by the police in an ota magistrate’s court. The 19 year old was arrested for allegedly stealing a Laptop and other valuables Amounting to the sum of N178,000.
However, the accused is facing a three-count charge of stealing, burglary and conspiracy, meanwhile, his address still remains unknown.
The court was told by the prosecutor Cpl. Abdulkareem Mustapha, that the crime was committed on the 13th of November As at about 12.30 p.m., at No.5 Akanni St., Ologun-Ota by the Accused, and others.
He said the accused in collaboration with others broke into the house of the complainant, Mr. Olarinde Oluwaseyi, and stole a Lenovo laptopand some other valuables that amounted to N178,000.
The offences contravened Sections 390(9), 412 and 516 of the Criminal Code Vol.1, Laws of Ogun, 2016.
Notwithstanding, the accused have been said to have plead not guilty to the charges against him.
Meanwhile, the accused was granted bail for the sum of 200,000 with two sureties in like sum and the court adjourned till December 29 for hearing by the The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Funke Odubanjo.
