According to reports, the senate had disclosed yesterday that the screening of the EFCC’s Boss Acting Magu, would be done on Wednesday, 7 December, in a plenary chaired by the Deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu.
Recallable, according to reports President Buhari has since July sent a letter to the house indicating that he has appointed Magu, as the chairman of the EFCC to enable procedures for his confirmation.
The letter was however, read by the President of the senate, Bukola Saraki, Since July 2016.
Ever since then nothing seen to have been done in motion to confirm the EFCC’s Acting Boss Magu, from the side of the senate till now.
However, Ike Ekweremadu has urged all members of the chamber to turn up for the exercise which will be done by the house’s committee.
Meanwhile, Magu, might have lots of serious questions to answer as the chamber has quite a number of ex-governors nwho has one issue or the other with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC.
Magu took over from Ibrahim Lamorde, in November 2015, on Expiration of his tenure as acting chairman of the commission.
