the governor of the Central bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele, who in many sides from lots of Nigerians have been facing troubles on claims that the problems facing the Naira is based on his poor monetary polices, has just been confirmed by the presidency as in a vote of confidence. The presidency against alot of Nigerians passed a vote of confidence on the configuration of the Nation’s economic team. Meanwhile, lots are calling for the immediate sack of the CBN Governor.
This was disclosed by Mr Laolu Akande, the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, in a move to end the notion/impression that the economic crisis in the country is based on poor management of the economic team of the country.
notwithstanding, the economic problems was blamed upon the militant activities in Nigeria, which includes; bombing and destroying of oil installation in the Niger Delta region by Mr Laolu Akande, which has caused a decline in the production of crude oil.
The atmosphere, also has been cleared for the economic team of the nation through the revelation of the media aide thereby, giving the team a go ahead to continue in managing the economic affairs of the nation.
However, the country has been in the state of recession since July causing the Naira to loose its value against major world currencies after the local currency of was floated by the CBN. This has caused alot of issues in the country, ranging from lost of jobs and businesses, high cost of materials in the country and off-course inflation.
